Commitment to our local community – where we live and work – is an important aspect of our company culture. In the coming months, CG Consulting is sponsoring (or participating) in several Charlotte community events and I’d like to make you aware and encourage your participation (or personal sponsorship):
· Lake Norman YMCA Triathlon (8/23/08): One of the largest local triathlons, CG is one of the sponsors of this sold-out event; the water bottle that each participant receives will have the “CG Consulting” logo. This event is a fundraiser for the YMCA Community Outreach program.
· Run for Green (9/20/08): A Fun Run, 5K, and Half-Marathon in Davidson at a perfect time of year. CG is a Platinum Sponsor so we have a few free participant slots, so please request one if you’d like to run. (Chris Albury’s wife is running!) This event is a fundraiser for Davidson Lands Conservancy.
· Hands on Charlotte Day (10/18/08): we’ve been a “Business Cares” sponsor for the last couple of years as they arrange quarterly service projects for us to staff. These provide an opportunity to support areas of need, to network with others in the community, as well as a great team-building experience for ourselves. “Hands on Charlotte Day” is the flagship service day with over 3,000 volunteers, and we’ll participate again this year.
